From humble beginnings to becoming Bangladesh's premier English language carnival, explore the milestones that shaped GELC.

🎯 Theme: "Empowering Voices, Inspiring Futures"
Our most ambitious carnival yet! Featuring 6 major segments including the new Lensathon (Photography) competition. Expected participation from 1,500+ students across 100+ institutions.

📍 Venue: St. Gregory's Campus
🎯 Theme: "Celebrating Our Own"
A special in-house carnival exclusively for Gregorian students across all grades. Featured inclusive challenges designed to encourage participation from every student, regardless of skill level. Over 600 Gregorians participated, making it the largest internal event in school history.
📅 Date: 15–16 December 2023
📍 Venue: St. Gregory's High School & College
🎯 Theme: "Bridging Creativity and Language Mastery"
A landmark event that brought together over 1,200 participants from 80+ institutions. Introduced the wildly popular Squid Game segment and expanded our reach to districts outside Dhaka. The carnival featured special guest speakers, cultural performances, and extensive media coverage.

🎯 Theme: "The Rebirth of Creativity"
GELC's triumphant return to in-person events post-pandemic. This carnival marked a fresh start, bringing back the energy, excitement, and face-to-face interactions students had been missing. Featured enhanced safety protocols while maintaining the carnival's signature vibrant atmosphere.

🎯 Theme: "English in the Digital Age"
The last major pre-pandemic carnival. Introduced digital elements and multimedia competitions. Set the foundation for what would become GELC's signature blend of traditional language mastery and contemporary cultural trends.
The inaugural National English Carnivals (1st & 2nd editions) laid the groundwork for GELC's future success. These pioneering events established our core values of inclusivity, creativity, and excellence. Started with 300+ participants and grew exponentially year after year.
Key Achievements: Established GELC as a recognized name in Dhaka's educational community, created partnerships with multiple schools, and set the template for future carnivals.
