It is with immense joy and gratitude that I announce the launch of the official website of the Gregorian English Language Club (GELC). This marks a new milestone in our club's long and proud journey of promoting English language learning, communication, and cultural exchange among students.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to The Gregorian Society (TGS) for accepting and supporting my idea of creating this website. Their encouragement and cooperation made this vision a reality.

My deepest gratitude also goes to our respected Moderator Sir, whose continuous guidance, inspiration, and mentorship have always been the driving force behind every success of GELC.

This website is not just a digital platform—it is a reflection of our club's 30-year legacy and a gateway for future achievements. I hope it will serve as a bridge connecting our members, alumni, and well-wishers across the country and beyond.

"It is not the destination but the journey that inspires a person." I had always been an anxious and nervous student during my primary school life. Then, suddenly, GELC came as an enlightenment on a rusty autumn evening. It started with a workshop on English literature and has continued with experiences that have shaped my personality.

Slowly, over time, I began to make friends. As the days passed, my language skills flourished as I attended more workshops. Every year, I would look forward to three events.

The first one was the Fresher's Reception Programme, which gave me the chance to meet new, energetic juniors. Honestly, their energy works as fuel on my dusty, difficult days.

The second one was the GELC Nationals—an event full of memories. Working on this event gifted me three personal qualities that would have been almost impossible to attain without my club and its people.

The first quality is endurance. To hold this programme, we had to go through many sleepless nights. It tested my patience and made me calm from within. Secondly, I learned teamwork—I learned to put my team's success ahead of my personal goals. Finally, it taught me empathy toward people from all backgrounds. I got the opportunity to meet students from different corners of the country, which made my perspective diverse and broad.

Before the curtains fall, I would like to recall my memories from the third most important event—the Alumni Dinner. I have intense emotions toward this event because I get to meet the people I consider my lighthouses.

To wrap up, GELC has transformed the little boy I once was into a confident and dedicated human being.
